I bet everyone heard of Caran d’Ache brand. And I cannot be the only one drooling whenever sees those colorful markers and pencils, even though I have no talent. But this time, we are focusing on Caran d’Ache fountain pens and inks. And they are even more colorful now.
In 1924 Arnold Schweitzer buying Ecridor factory, changes the name to Caran d’Ache and the story begins. And the name Caran d’Ache comes from a famous French caricaturist Emmanuel Poiré which also means pencil in Russian.
The brand who produces the first all metal clutch pen became known with the innovations. Although it is a bit late in to my opinion, Caran d’Ache launches its first fountain pen in 1970. This pen with a sword-like clips is one of the best fountain pens to keep in the shirt pocket.
You probably remember the legendary cube ink bottles of Caran d’Ache. However, in 2014 they launched the Chromatics series with elaborately designed ink bottles. But I think, when it comes to Caran d’Ache, the famous crayon maker, I expect more and more colors.
When it comes to Caran d’Ache fountain pens: to be frank, I was feeling a bit cold for them since they are lack of colors. But, there is a big big but here, Caran d’Ache has stepped into the world of colorful fountain pens with the new Leman Bicolor series. Actually, I have some models that I am looking forward to put my hands on.
