I am not making notebook reviews for a long time. Maybe it is because I am reading less than my routine. And for me, reading less generally means writing less. However, I don’t panic in this situation and I don’t think I am being lazy. It is generally a small break to digest and contemplate about what I read before. However, this notebook, especially the cover gives a cause to read and write again.
There is a heck of information on the back page of the notebook regarding the manufacturer company and notebook itself. I liked the detailed explanation of “hard cover, rubber band, 110 gr, high grade, 76 pages, lined, back cover pocket, fixed bookmark and round corners”. There is everything that I would like to know about my notebook.
I reviewed Deffter Old Writer Tools notebook with Pelikan M400 Medium + Röhrer Klingner Verdigris, Pelikan M150 Verev İtalik + Pilot Iroshizuku Yama Budo and Pelikan M200 Cognac Italic + Caran d’Ache Idyllic Blue combinations. Even though Verdigris has a tendency to feather and M200 Italic is a hell of a wet writer, it didn’t feathered. The paper absorbs the ink quite good.
There is a remarkable bleding at the back page on the other hand. You can like Deffter Old Writer Tools if you don’t use back page. The price is around 7 USD. You should try this notebook if you like the notebooks where the ink dries fast, with thick paper and have a great cover and if you don’t mind about using the back page.
