Noodler’s Black Swan in Australian Roses Ink Review

This week’s ink is the one I probably used the most this year, Noodler’s Black Swan in Australian Roses. Actually, I have a notebook which I write just by using this ink and it is about to finish.

Noodler’s inks are made by American enthusiast and craftsman Nathan Tardiff. Bottles are quite useful (yes not a Waterman useful but still good) with wide opening and square bottoms. It has nearly 90 ml of ink inside. And one other feature of the Noodler’s is that the bottle is always full, I really mean full.

Noodler’s Black Swan in Australian Roses (aka BSAR) is a quite dark purple. Therefore, it has a nice calm color, treating well our eyes. Although it is not very suitable for official documents, it is well suited for daily use.

Even though it is dark, it still has some shading. So if you enjoy shading inks, you will love this one.
Yes, it dries a bit late, smudges with the water but Noodler’s Black Swan in Australian roses is an ink that I love using. Besides, this ink goes very well with flex pens and causes less railroading due to the surface tension.
Did you like it?
Cheers,
