And we are inviting Pilot Iroshizuku Tsukushi (Horsetail) to the stage with a burst of applause. It is one of the chocolate brown inks of Iroshizuku. You know me, I am not a fan of brown inks. My favorite brown ink is J. Herbin Lie de Thé and J. Herbin Cacao du Brasil (I haven’t reviewed it yet) Even though I love Iroshizuku inks, Tsukushi is not my favorite.
What about the features of this ink. As a typical Iroshizuku ink, it has a flawless flow. There is a bit shading. It doesn’t feather even on cheaper papers. It is not particularly good with water but it is not disappearing either.
When I dripped the ink into the Fabriano paper, it has green sheen on very dark brown. But don’t let this image fool you. It is not that dark and there is no visible sheen in regular writing.
Did you like Tsukushi?
